Dear Parents
and/or Guardians,
I would like
to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement to be
teaching your child in Room 5 this year. My name is Alisha Bliss and I am
really looking forward to an exciting and challenging year with your child.
Waterview
Primary School extends an open door policy for parents; if you have any
questions, queries, comments or concerns I am available before school between
the hours of 8:30 AM and 8:55 AM and after school from 3:05 PM. If you would
like to make an appointment or to talk about anything, I am best contacted on
alishabl@waterview.school.nz.
I also have
a ‘Parents Corner’ set up in the classroom where any important information and
newsletters will be posted. We will ease into homework, starting week 3.
Students will be sent home with a reader nightly, and with weekly Spelling and
Maths homework. The Spelling and Maths homework will be sent home on Monday and
expected to be brought back to school the following Friday. A detailed explanation
will be provided with your child’s first homework sheet.
I will be on
BT release every Wednesday from 12:00-3:00. Miss Cunningham will be the
reliever taking Room 5 during this time.
I am excited
about the year of learning ahead and I am committed to creating authentic and
fun learning experiences for your child. I look forward to meeting you properly
as the year progresses.
